Novilon

Novilon is a protected trade name for the cast polyamides, produced by Akripol. The cast polyamides belong to the engineering plastics. Due to their excellent mechanophysical and chemical properties they present, in the domain of the machine manufacture, an alternative to the machinery elements, made of metal castings. First of all, they are suitable for the fitting in the spots with an important mechanical loads and contacts with aggressive chemical substantives and dirtiness.

Tradition and quality

The cast polyamides Novilon have been manufactured already since the year 1988. The development, the manufacture, and marketing are carried out in compliance with the requirements of the International Quality Standard ISO 9001:2000. The tradition of manufacture and the continuous improvements in the development and production place Akripol among the leading producers of the cast polyamides in the South-East Europe.

Wear resistant, light, and long-lasting

The Novilon has an extremely high wear resistance. It is eight times lighter than bronze, seven times lighter than grey cast iron, two times lighter than aluminium, what enables, besides the economical effect, also an easier incorporation and servicing of installations with the built-in components of Novilon. Its properties do not deteriorate with the course of time.

Resistant to chemical substances

The Novilon is completely resistant to all lyes, to dissolute acids and oxidants, and to a series of other chemicals, otherwise exerting a very destructive effect on metal machine components. The Novilon does not corrode.

Simple working

The Novilon can be sawed, drilled, planed, turned, sanded and polished by means of machines and tools for metal working. This assures us the manufacture of a wide spectrum of the machinery elements without great investments in tools for the manufacture of elements. As its working is very simple, it is very suitable for the servicing of older installations, which do not have their original spare parts any more.

Environmentally sound

Akripol is a company, engaging itself for the sound attitude towards environment and towards employees. As well as the production of other products, produced by Akripol, the production of the cast polyamides Novilon is carried out in compliance with the statutory requirements and the environmental standard ISO 14001:2004.

The Novilon is the recyclable material. All the filings, cuttings, or products whose life time has expired, can be recycled.
