Antigraphite coating

Akripol d.d. has developed a special type of cast acrylic sheets AGLAS SS – Antigraphite. The coating hardens applying of graphite sprays and it also makes it easier to clean the graphite and other dirt from the surface.

Another advantage of this transparent coating is protecting the cast acrylic sheets against harmful external effects such as smoke, dirt, graphite sprays, etc. and as already mentioned it makes it easier to clean the material.

Due to the coating the surface of AGLAS SS is more:

• hydrophobic
• oleophobic
• resistant to air corrosion
• and resistant to chemicals and solvent, especially graphite sprays.

Chemical resistance

(exposed to 18-22° C for 10 min)

Antigraphite coating is resistant to pH of up to 12.

The sheets Aglas SS with AG coating ARE NOT resistant to chlorine hydrocarbon, ester and ketones.

Bird protection

Labels in the shape of a bird and polished tapes on the sheet surface are two ways Akripol offers as an additional protection of cast acrylic sheets Aglas SS and Aglas SS PA6 in order to decrease bumping of birds into transparent sound barriers.

Possibility of thermoforming

Beside plain cast acrylic sheets Aglas SS in Aglas SS PA6 Akripol offers a chance of thermoforming transparent sound barriers.
